A new international trailer has been released forGore Verbinski’s new thriller,A Cure for Wellness. While this trailer doesn’t tell us anything about the story, it does a great job of conveying the creepy tone. While the studio is billing the picture as a “thriller”, it looks like Verbinski is back in full-blown horror mode with startling imagery that should really surprise and unnerve the audience. I don’t know if the narrative will come together, but I always admire Verbinski’s ambition even when his films don’t completely cohere. Here’s hoping he has another success withA Cure for Wellness.
It will also be interesting to see what DeHaan does with the lead role. After stumbling a bit followingThe Amazing Spider-Man 2, the actor could have a solid 2017 with lead performances in bothA Cure for WellnessandLuc Besson’s sci-fi adventure filmValerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
