‘Attack on Titan’ Wins a Major Copyright Case in Russia
According toOricon, in July 2023, Kodansha, the official publisher of theAttack on Titanmanga series, discovered that a Russia-based company was hosting a paid event in Saint Petersburg featuring unlicensed content and displays. The publisher filed a lawsuit in 2024, andon July 21, 2025, the Russian court ruled in their favor.IQ Art Management LLC, the company behind the unauthorized event, was ordered to pay over $48,000 in damages and court fees.
