Following news that HBO Max has canceledAnd Just Like That…after three seasons,the stars of theSex and the Cityrevivalare opening up about their emotional farewells to the characters and the world they’ve inhabited for over two decades.ShowrunnerMichael Patrick Kingconfirmed today that the series will wrap with a two-part finale later this season, saying,“While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That… season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.”The original episode order was extended from 10 to 12 to give the show a proper sendoff.

What Did the ‘And Just Like That’ Stars Say About the Cancellation?
Sarah Jessica Parker, who has played Carrie Bradshaw since 1998, led the tributes with a moving Instagram post and montage honoring her beloved alter ego.
“Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt. To you all.”

Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte York, reposted King’s statement and didn’t hold back about her disappointment.
“I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love,” she shared, later adding,“Thank you to you all!!! You hold me up and I do not take it for granted!!!”

Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda Hobbes, echoed Parker’s sentiments, resharing her post and writing:
“I could watch this again and again. Thank you Sarah Jessica Parker (& our gorgeous cast & crew!) for the quarter century of memories and friendships.”

Other cast members joined the outpouring of affection.Evan Handler, who plays Charlotte’s husband Harry, simply posted:“And So it Goes", whileAlexa Swinton, who plays Rock Goldenblatt, reflected on growing up on the series:
“So beyond lucky for this beautiful group of people to have been in my life for so long. Alexander Bello, who portrays Miranda’s son Henry, marked the end of the show with a heartfelt milestone:
“I started working on this show as a seventh grader and now as it comes to a close, I’m preparing to go off to college.And Just Like Thathas been the biggest gift I could’ve asked for.”
