Bridgerton’sSimone Ashleyhas been keeping busy. In addition to her role as Lady Kate Bridgerton on the hit Regency Era Netflix series. She is also the lead role in the upcoming Prime Video romantic comedy,Picture This. Ashley will play a photographer Pia, who runs into her ex in a swoon-worthy second-chance romance premiering on March 6. Now, fans are also learning that theSex Educationstar has a debut album coming down the pipeline. Ashley told BBC Sounds’Nuala McGovernonBBC’s Women’s Hourthat it was on its way. “Yeah, I’m going to be releasing my first album,” Ashley explains, “so I’m very excited.” McGovernor is quick to clarify, “As a singer?” To which Ashley replies, “As a singer, yeah.”
Simone Ashley’s Next Chapter
While Ashley didn’t disclose much else, the actress tells BBC’s Women’s Hour that she’s “focusing on me, and focusing on my work, and my inner confidence,” in this next chapter of her life. That next chapter includes promoting her upcoming rom-com,Picture This, starring oppositeHero Fiennes Tiffin, as well as reprising her role inBridgertonSeason 4. It was confirmed during the Season of Love event that Ashley would officially be returning as Lady Kathani Bridgerton oppositeJonathan Bailey’s Lord Anthony Bridgerton and the rest of the cast.During an interview last year with Glamour Magazine, the actress teased, “I know that I am returning, but that’s all I can say.I absolutely adore the show, and the more I can be a part of it, the better.They’ve been really kind to work around my schedule.”
Both Bailey and Ashley have been a constant in theBridgertonproduction since their time as leads in Season 2.Bailey teased last yearhe had a “couple of weeks etched out” in his schedule for the show. Bailey has been busy in his own right, between the production of both parts of the hit movie-musicalWicked, as well as starring in the nextJurassic Parkinstallment,Jurassic World Rebirth.Bridgertonfans (at least this one) would be interested to see Ashley sing in the show before the debut of her album, with Kate perhaps singing a lullaby to her and Anthony’s baby.
