With production gearing up,Focus Featureshas recently announced two cast members that will be joining its upcoming film,LisaFrankenstein. Fresh off her success as Millie Kessler inFreaky,Kathryn Newton, who is currently set to appear inAnt-Man and theWasp: Quantumania,will star in the film alongsideCole Sprouse, widely known for his role inRiverdale.

In an allusion to the title of the film, the story will follow theFrankensteinformula and will center around a teenage girl who accidentally re-animates the corpse of a young man and rebuilds him to her liking, The premise of the film will draw inspiration from the originalFrankensteinstory written byMary Shelley.

Lisa Frankensteinwill be directed byZelda Williamsin her feature film directorial debut. The film will be written byDiablo Cody, who won the Academy Award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay for the critically acclaimed film,Juno. Cody will also produce the film alongside Mason Novick of MXN Entertainment. The duo previously collaborated onJunoalongside other films such asTullyandJennifer’s Body.Jeff Lampertwill executive produce the film withMichelle Momplaisirattached as creative executive.
