Skrull, Skrulls, Skrulls!!!!
James Gunnhas recently stated that the Skrulls are co-owned and can be in a Marvel Film as well as all the Fox films - it just depends on which Skrull character is used and from what story. Obviously, the Skrulls from theFantastic Fourcan’t be used, nor can the Super Skrull; but theKree Skrull Warand the characters from those storylines? Now we are cooking. Is it cool that all the different companies that own Marvel Characters can use the Skrulls if they want, and will this cause confusion chaos or sheer awesomeness? The panel break it down.

Minor Mutations
Flashback -Green Lantern(2011)
BeforeRyan Reynoldsowned the Box Office with his R-rated realization ofDeadpool, he swung for the other team; that being DC Comics big budget adaptation ofGreen Lantern. Written by TV superstarGreg Berlantiand three other screenwriters and directed with spotty confusion byMartin Campbell, this movie soars when it’s on the planet Oa, as Hal Jordan learns about what it is to be part of the galaxy’s police force called the Green Lantern Corp. These scenes withMark Strongas his mentor Sinestro all work great, and actually are fun and exciting. That’s where it ends as the rest of the film plops along with a giant -David Lynch-ian super freak villain named Hector Hammond played with sweaty, moaning delight byPeter Skarsgard; who eventually summons a giant alien poop-cloud that attacks earth. Green Lantern uses a bunch of different clear-green Earth weapons formed from his power ring to fight this cloud called Parallax. The entire design for the Green Lantern Corp and Green Lantern himself probably looked great on paper, but the striated, exposed muscle suits were glossy, sparkly, strangely fake and straight up dumb. The panel talk about this weird, wildly unevenGreen Lanternfilm.
Spotlight:Beta Ray Bill
This week’s Spotlight is on Beta Ray Bill, the genetically modified warrior-alien that defeated Thor in combat, and was given all of Thor’s powers and his enchanted hammer from Odin. Eventually Thor and Beta Ray Bill teamed up to stop Surtur and his trans-dimensional demon horde; where he was given a special new hammer forged by the trolls named Stormbreaker. Could the ballad of Beta Ray Bill work in a television series or a Feature Film?
