Just watched the 1991 movieCity Slickers, and it got me thinking that, to quote the old cliche “they don’t make them like that anymore”. By that I mean comedies that don’t depend on vulgarity or raunch nor are specifically kids movies. These are the comedies that you can watch with the whole family and be enjoyed equally. Other examples areMrs Doubtfire,Sister ActandThree men and a Baby. I can’t think of any such movies in the last 15 years. Maybe animated movies fill that void to a certain extent by being made for kids but with enough appeal for adults. However I am referring to comedies made for older people but with enough appeal for kids. Thoughts?
