Everything in TV is getting a reboot these days, and not all of it should. Some things, blasphemous though it may sound, should really just stay in their time capsule. Seeing Netflix’s first teaser forFuller House— a continuation of ABC’sFull Houseseries, which launched in 1987 and ran for eight seasons — brings back fond memories of the Tanners, while also fully pouring on the saccharine. Like, maybe even drowning in it.There’s an eager puppy and sweet folksy music, have mercy!
The series will mark an interesting experiment, regarding these kinds of reboots, whether or not people actually like watching new versions of their old favorites, or just like talking about how much they love the original.Fuller Houseis coming full-er circle though, incorporating all of the main cast (minus the Olsen Twins) in to a story reminiscent of the first (as in the fact that the Tanners are stuck in some kind of gender-swapped repeating time loop regarding being widows, number of kids, etc) and in the same location (which is probably worth about $3 million, far more than in the 80s when Danny Tanner acquired it …because this is important, guys).

In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson (Michael Champion), neurotic 7-year-old Max (Elias Harger) and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr (Messitt Twins).
Guest appearances by John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale).
