This first step is filling out basic information, sending in photos, and answering a questionnaire. You can submit a brief, optional video application, and if you’re serious about making it onto a show like this, this is a step you shouldneverskip.It’s essential to show producers how you interact with a camera. You can also include any social media profiles you have, which, again, should not be left outif you want to be seriously considered.

Andbefore submitting an application, social media feeds should bethoughtfully curated to appeal to casting producers.They’re likely looking for still images and videos that will give them a glimpse of your on-screen presence on the show. This may require some investment; it’s probably time to book a photo shoot.Populating your Instagram feed with several high-quality, professional photosbefore beginning this process will push your application up toward the top of the pile.
You’ll also be asked to submit photos of yourself; at least one close-up of your upper body is required, and optionally, you can provide several other angles. This part feels a bit like listing an object for sale, but for anyone who has watchedTemptation Islandor almost any reality dating show, this comes as no surprise. They’re clearly casting for a specific look. From there, ahopeful contestantis asked to answer several questions.
The series of questions you’re required to answer as an applicant begins with information about yourself. Consider who producers will be looking for when creating a colorful cast for their show. Questions include “Tell us more about yourself,” “Describe your childhood,” and “How would your friends describe your personality?” This is a great place tostop and consider what makes your favorite reality stars so compelling on screen, and what you might have in common with them. Are you deeply emotional?On a journey of self-discoveryor processing trauma? Unafraid to stand up for yourself in the face of conflict?A big flirt? Be sure to include that in your answers.

Next, you’ll answerquestions that dig into your relationship with the partner you’re bringingonto the show. It begins with softballs, like how you met, how long you’ve been exclusively dating, and if the two of you currently live together. But as you continue through the questionnaire, you’ll have to provide some pretty intimate information.
Have you and your partner ever broken up or taken a break? What frustrates you most about them? Which one of youputs forth more effortto make the relationship work? You’ll have to share all this and more. And hopefully,you’re embedding a compelling narrative into your answers.You’ll also need to explain what your last big fight was about, how your sex life is with your partner and what you’d like to change about it, and why you’d want to participate in this show with them. Bevulnerable, butbe strategic in equal measure.
Lastly,you’ll answer questions about what kind of people you’re attracted to, physically and otherwise. From here, producers will begin comparing applications. If you’re with a strong bond thatcould be tested, they’ll begin looking through the single applicants to see if any of them could match your taste and interests. They don’t just want to see if you and your partner could makedramatictelevision, they want to sendpeople in who could actually tempt youor your partner away from each other.This process is not for the faint of heart.
