The time has officially come for cameras to pick up and filming for Season 2 ofHigh Potentialto begin. Breaking the news herself, series starKaitlin Olsonrecently told Entertainment Tonight that cameras would roll on Monday, meaning that the show’s dedicated fandom will soon have promo bits and plot teases ahead of its fall arrival. The procedural received a renewal all the way back in January, after its first batch of episodes proved to be successful. Presumably, due to Olson’s incredibly busy schedule as a member of the long-runningIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,High Maintenancedidn’t receive a back half of episodes during its debut season, which has kept viewers on the edge of their seats waiting to see how things pan out for Morgan (Olson) following a tense finale.

In addition to spilling the tea surroundingHigh Potential’s production schedule, Olson also revealed her hopes for the series –particularly surrounding her character. As those who tuned in for Season 1 will already know, Olson’s Morgan has High Intellectual Potential (HIP), which places her IQ above the 95th percentile and essentially makes her hyper-attune to her surroundings and notice things that other people don’t – thus making her the perfect consultant for the LAPD. Most of what we’ve seen so far has putMorgan ahead of the curve, constantly flexing her natural gift, butOlson hopes that there will be more hurdles for her down the line, commenting,

“I want her to have more problems. I think it’s important to see her get it wrong and second guess her decision to do this. I don’t want it to be all like roses and ‘Oh, Morgan’s gonna figure it out.’I don’t want anything to ever get boring. Yeah, a real human being. [Laughs]”
