I absolutely loved writer-directorBrad Bird’sIncredibles 2. It’s one of those rare sequels that just gets everything right and reminds you why Pixar is such a special company. Trust me, if you were nervousThe Incrediblessequel would be anything less than amazing, you can relax. Finally, while everyone that worked onIncredibles 2deserves some credit for helping to bring the film to life, I’ve got to single outMichael Giacchino, because his score for the film is something really special and absolutely elevates everything on screen. I can’t wait to see it again.
With the film opening in theaters this weekend, I got to sit down withBob OdenkirkandCatherine Keenera few days ago to talk about voicing Winston Deavor / Evelyn Deavor. During the interview they talked about if the storyline changed a lot during the making of the film, what’s great about Brad Bird’s dialogue, how the film never talks down to children, and more.
As most of you know from the trailers,Incredibles 2is about Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) heading out to try and redeem the good name of the Supers, which leaves Mr. Incredible (Craig T. In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything.
