It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end ofGhostsSeason 4, but with only three episodes left in the season, and the promise of a “jam-packed” finale, anticipation is sky high to see what happens when “The Devil Went Down to Woodstone” arrives on CBS. The episode is set to air on the network on May 8 at 8:30 PM ET, and according toRose McIver, who spoke to Colliderearlier this year while they were filming the episode, it will feature a"who’s who of ghostdom.“CBS has confirmed the episode will featureMatt Walsh’s EliasandMary Holland’s Patience, and it’s likely safe to assume we’ll see familiar faces likeBetsy Sodaro’s Nancy and the other basement ghosts, as well asOdessa A’zion’s Stephanie, who’s returning for next week’s episode as well.
Ahead of the finale, I caught up withSheila Carrasco, who plays everyone’s favorite peace-loving hippie, Flower. During our wide-ranging conversation, she teased that this episode is unlike any season-ender we’ve seen on the series before — meaning it’s unlikely we’re going to see someone get sucked off oryanked into the dirt. However, it’s definitely going to leave us on a cliffhanger, withGhostsalreadyrenewed for its fifth and sixth seasons at CBS.
“The season finale is going to give you a huge surprise at the end, and it’s going to leave you nervous about the future of one or more residents. What I’ll say is that it’s not going to be like any other cliffhanger we’ve had, so I don’t want people thinking, ‘Oh, that means somebody could…’ It’s different and equally terrifying.”
What’s Happening on the Next Episode of ‘Ghosts’?
Before we get to the finale, this week’s episode, titled “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago,” will see a local politician pull some skeletons out of the attic at Woodstone with a “bizarre connection” to one of the ghosts. In the recently released images above,we see the return of Stephanie, who was murdered by a chainsaw killer on her prom night in the 1980s. The teaser released for the episode also hints that we’ll see a cheeky nod to this being the 20th episode of Season 4, as Flower tells Pete (Riche Moriarty) to “live a little” on 4/20.
