As it would have it, Jonathan and Harley appeared on a slightly twisted season ofThe Amazing Race. Not since the Family edition hasThe Amazing Raceattempted a wild twist.They were featured on the infamous and slightly controversial dating season.The cast comprised six couples who knew one another, having been dating for some time, and five who were strangers, paired up as “Blind Date” potential romantic matches just for the race. Each team was given a Team name. Jonathan and Harley were deemed “Team New Kid” for obvious reasons. They entered the race having been dating for a whopping seven years! Not to bury the lead though, this controversial season proved successful as the final teams came from the Blind Date pairings. Not sure what it says about the other teams, but alas, sometimes two strangers can get along!
Jonathan and Harley started the race strong, nearing the front of the pack of racers.Another twist to the seasonsaw special clues that would reward racers with a “Date Night” ticket that would afford them an opportunity for a one-on-one activity during the Pit Stop. As it so happened, Jonathan and Harley earned the first one, which was a trip for two to a Japanese hot spring. They worked well as a pair, but things began to unravel ever so slightly by the race’s third leg. It’s always those pesky battles for flights. Though being saved by a non-elimination leg gave them some hope going into the fourth leg of the race,it was once again a flight that set them back, ending their time in 9th place.Harley and Jonathan got engaged in 2016, married in 2023, and have yet to look back.

While the band andFarmhouse Fixershow Jonathan in a specific light, it was his time onThe Amazing Racethat showcased his romantic origin story beyond what was eventually seen onCamp Revamp. That project watched asJonathan Knight raced to revamp a campground into a vacation oasis.The series continued to showcase Jonathan’s down-to-earth nature as he worked toward making his dream a reality.
Speaking to HGTV at Water’s Edge, the pair were able to discuss their love story in the most precious of ways. Their romantic timeline began as a random meet-up, and as Jonathan said, “16 years later, here we are.” Between Harley celebrating Jonathan’s heart and “sexy” Boston accent and Jonathan sharing Harley’s devotion to keep him grounded and supported, the pair is truly the definition of love. As Jonathan Knight continues to rise through the ranks of HGTV, it’s safe to assume he’ll forever bring wholesome content.
