BeforeWicked: For Goodenters theaters, LEGO invites you to enter the magical land of Oz with these upcoming LEGO sets based on the hit musical film. Five new sets are now available for pre-order or are set to release soon, featuring scenes based on the upcoming sequel. Additionally, Elphaba and Glinda are not the only stars in these LEGO releases, other characters fromWickedandThe Wizard of Ozare also included, thus bringing more of this magical world to life in brick form.
These new LEGO sets, priced between $27.99 and $159.99, are scheduled for release on June 26, 2025, two months before the release of the Wicked sequel. The first is called ‘Elphaba’s Retreat,’ which features mini-figures of Elphaba and Fierro, meeting in her forest hideout. The second is ‘Glinda’s Wedding Day,’ which features Glinda in her wedding dress, as seen in the trailer forWicked: For Good, as well as a mini-figure of Madame Morrible. Third is’Glinda & Elphaba Visit Munchkinland,' which features Glinda in her magic bubble and Elphaba with her flying broomstick as they make their way to Boq’s house. The fourth is ‘Emerald City & Kiamo Ko Castle,’ giving a glimpse of two of Oz’s landmarks in brick form. And last is the ‘Emerald City Wall Art,’ offering fans a brick art display of Oz and the Yellow Brick Road, along with minifigures of Dorothy and her group from the story ofThe Wizard of Oz, as well as Elphaba and Glinda watching them.
What’s ‘Wicked: For Good’ About?
Wicked: For Goodis the sequel to the 2024 musical film Wicked, which covers the second half of the Award-Winning Broadway musical of the same name. In the sequel, time has passed since Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) defied gravity, as well as The Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum), and she’s received the reputation of “The Wicked Witch of the West.” Due to this, an angry mob of munchkins started a witch hunt to “kill the witch.” Meanwhile, Glinda (Ariana Grande) rose to become an influential public figure in Oz, working with the Wizard and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh), while Fierro (Jonathan Bailey) is now captain of the Wizard’s Guard. It’s during this time that the narrative aligns withThe Wizard of OzasDorothy arrives and embarks on a journey to find a way home.
Despite the film following the story of the hit musical, composerStephen Schwartzrevealed that therewill be a change in how they cover Nessarose’s storyso that it would be “less harmful to disabled people.” Additionally, along with the tracks that were originally part of the musical,two new songs will be featured, made specifically for the film adaptation.
