What is ‘FBI: CIA’ About?

FBI: CIAcenters on two unlikely partners whom we’ll follow. Ellis plays a fast-talking, rule-breaking loose cannon CIA case officer, who is partnered with a by-the-book, seasoned and smart FBI agent who believes in the rule of law (casting yet to be disclosed). Things take a turn when this odd couple are assigned to work out of CIA’s New York Station. When push comes to shove, they must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil and eventually finding that their differences may actually be their strength.

Originally, the characters were to be introduced in the mothership, however, due to casting delays it couldn’t come to fruition. Nonetheless, with Ellis in the lead (fans know how he loves to play a rule breaker) and an interesting dynamic between the leading pair per the show details, the series will be the one to watch out for. Ellis will be next seen oppositeSterling K. Brownon the upcoming Hulu limited seriesWashington Blackand Netflix’sThursday Murder Club.
