It seems to now be clear that Warner Bros. itself was perhaps a little disappointed with how the DC Extended Universe kicked off. And that may go all the way to the top echelons of the company. According to a report from Variety,Time Warner CEOJeff Bewkessaid during an investors conferencethat the DC Comics characters have a lot more lightness to them and they are thinking about that moving forward.
According to THR, Dreamworks Pictures andSteven Spielberghave officially pulled the plug on their horror movie titledHaunted. Sources say the script was apparently the main source of contention, as28 Weeks LaterdirectorJuan Carlos Fresnadilloand writerScott Z. Burns did a page-one rewrite that caused a seismic change in the story that is no longer the project Dreamworks signed on to make. The movie was only five short weeks away from going before cameras.

Viacom lowered its earnings forecast in the fourth quarter, citing “a programming impairment charge of $115 million” that is “related to the expected performance of the film.
