According to a report from Deadline,Tom Hardyis attached to play American gangster Al Capone inFonzo, a new project written and to be directed byJosh Trank. The film is currently in pre-production and will center on the later years of Capone, after a decade of imprisonment where dementia is rotting his mind. No release date has been set.
It’s Monday which means it’s time for the weekend box office report brought to you by AMC Theatres.Boo! A Madea Halloweentook the No 1 spot at the weekend box office for a second week in a row, pulling in $16.7 million and bringing its domestic total to $52 million. Sony’sInferno, the third film in the Robert Langdon series, fell $10 million shy of expectations pulling in $15 million for a No 2 finish.Jack Reacher: Never Go Backtook the No 3 spot in its second weekend, delivering $9.6 million with a domestic total of $39.7.The Accountanttook the No 4 spot with $8.5 million bringing its domestic total to $61.3 million. And rounding out the top 5 wasOuija: Origin of Evil,pulling in $7.1 million for a domestic total of $24.6 million.

According to THR, Nu Image/Millennium Films is plotting a reboot toRambo, the classic 1980s action franchise that starredSylvester Stallone.Brooks McLarenwill write the script withAriel Vromendirecting. TitledRambo: New Blood, the reboot will not see Stallone return as he did in Millennium’s 2008 outing, instead, a younger actor will be recast in the role, with Millennium Films looking at the character as similar to James Bond. There is no word on a release date.

Cruise will play the title character who was said to live 969 years according to the Hebrew Bible. A release date has not been set.
