I’ve seen a few episodes of the series and confirm the overall vibe is, in fact, this unsettling. Quinto, especially, is making sometrulyjarring choices as the otherworldly child predator Charlie Manx, helped a ton by the impressive prosthetic work that occasionally turns him into something ancient and undeniably evil.
