This weekend marksOne PieceDay, which is taking place in Japan in order to celebrate the legacy of the franchisecreated byEiichiro Oda. Since fans haven’t been getting a lot of good news about the live-action series this year,Netflixdecided to finally throw us a bone and unveil the highly anticipated trailer for Season 2 of the series. It officially confirmsthe series is finally returning in 2026. However, from the looks of it, the new episodes will be worth the wait.
There’s no other way to put it: the Season 2 trailer ofOne Piecelooks great. If back in 2023 fans could celebrate the fact that their favorite anime and manga series gota highly imaginative adaptationwith exceptional attention to detail, this time it looks like Netflix is doubling down on everything that worked the first time around. It’s practically impossible not to getexcited for the Grand Line arcafter the events teased in the new season’s trailer.

The trailer also teases the arrival of some — but certainly not all — of the new characters that will be introduced in the new batch of episodes. We meet the giant Brogy (Brendan Murray) coming face-to-face with Nami (Emily Rudd); Smoker (Callum Kerr) looking gorgeous with his two cigars; Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran) with full main character energy; and Miss All Sunday (Lera Abova) making a heck of an entrance. The season will also feature several notable cast members, includingJoe Manganiello(True Blood) as Mr. 0,David Dastmalchian(Late Night with the Devil) as Mr. 3, andRico Sanchez(Outer Banks) as Dragon, among many others. The trailer also officially confirms that the show has been renewed for Season 3 and is in active development.
‘One Piece’ Season 2 Looks Bigger and Better
Recently, Dastmalchian underscored the sensation of the massive event that the series has become byrevealing what he felt during filmingin Cape Town. He stated that the “world that they created and we shot down in South Africa was just so incredible” and teased that he was “really excited for people to see.” Well, now we’ve seen a bit of it, and we want more. Back in June, Netflix provided a sneak peek of one of the most anticipated arrivals from Season 2: Tony Tony Chopper, who will bebrought to life byMikaela Hoover(Superman). The character was singled out because he eventuallyjoins the Straw Hatsand becomes an important member of the group, so fans have been waiting for his introduction for a while.
