The biggest box office face-off in years is living up to the hype. After months of build-up, “Barbenheimer” weekend is finally here, with bothGreta Gerwig’s satirical comedyBarbieandChristopher Nolan’s dense three-hour biographical dramaOppenheimervastly out-performing even the most optimistic projections. Combined, both movies delivered over half a billion dollars at the worldwide box office, which is astounding and encouraging, because it proves that there’s an audience for all kinds of cinema, if it’s made (and marketed) well....

One episode feeds into another in a binge-worthy cascade of narrative, which can be a beautiful thing for an avid TV viewer. But occasionally, an episode really stands out as something wonderful on its own, sometimes even transcending the show itself....

The sentimental tweetstorm began when Solomon tweeted out two lone director’s chairs in front of a green screen with “Bill” and “Ted” printed on each. A24 has released the firstGreen Roomteaser trailer online. The film centers on a punk rock band that witness an act of violence backstage at a neo-Nazi dive bar that they weren’t meant to see. They then hole up in the green room and try to figure out how to escape while the bar’s owner (Patrick Stewart) devises a way to dispose of the young rockers.
