This year’s big annual Arrowverse crossover was as splashy as ever, spanning four cities, three Earths, and multiple potential realities, all whilepacking in as many DC references and Easter eggsas possible. As stories go, it was largely satisfying, featuring strong character moments, fun in-jokes for fans, and an epic final battle. But unlike the crossovers of years past, this one devotes an awful lot of time to looking forward in a way that “Crisis on Earth-X” and “Invasion” did not....

Disney continued to lay out its upcoming release plans today during an investors call. The studio revealed that both Marvel’sShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsand theRyan Reynoldsaction comedyFree Guywill debut in theaters with a 45-day window of exclusivity. Recently, Disney announced that it would be continuing its Premier Access program of simultaneously releasing features theatrically and on the studio’s streaming service Disney+ for a premium price. Theofficial Iron Studios Instagram accountunveiled a new Michael Myers figure based on the killer’s appearance inHalloween, the 2018 legacy sequel that returnedJamie Lee Curtisto the role of Laurie Strode. Natalie Portmanhas appeared in multiple projects and starred in different media franchises. But out of all the roles the actress has been a part of, she has cheerfully referred to her small role inBlueyas “the most important one.” While it wasn’t a large role, it’s something that she holds dear.
