A new, interconnectedPower Rangerscinematic and television universe is coming our way. This week, we learned thatJonathan Entwistle(of Netflix’sI Am Not Okay With ThisandThe End of the F***ing Worldfame) will spearhead aPower Rangersfranchise reboot initiative which will result in multiple new movie and television show adaptations for the Hasbro property. The world was gifted aPower Rangersmovie back in 2017 (the one which notably launched the careers ofDacre MontgomeryandNaomi Scott). As such, it’s surprising to see that thePower Rangerscinematic universe is once again starting over and building something new....

A little over twenty-five years ago,Robert Rodriguezburst on the scene with his almost no-budget debut film,El Mariachi. Made for only $7,000, Rodriguez used every shortcut he could think of to make his movie, including raising some of the money by signing up for medical experiments. He actually documented the experience in his widely read book,Rebel Without a Crew, which showed everyone how you could make a movie for almost no money....

Per usual, last night’sSaturday Night Livewas dominated by jokes at the expense of President Trump, most of which were not very good. The only good ones were doled out in the very first sketch, in whichAidy Bryant’sSarah Huckabee SandersandBeck Bennett’sRonny Jacksonwent through Trump’s latest round of humiliations, catastrophes, and half-ass covers. Bryant began with some comments on his feigned or simply delusional belief that the Women’s March was in celebration of his accomplishments, but things really started rolling when Bennet’s Jackson started going through Trump’s recent, ridiculous health report....

I don’t know what we did to deserve the gift that is a teen’s TikTok recreations ofSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Versescenes but I’m very glad it happened. The Oscar-winning and very quotable animated movie fromPhil LordandChris MillerstarringShameik Moore,Jake Johnson, andHailee Steinfeldhas made its way to the TikTok app — and the results are very, very good. This week, two ofTikTok userJenoah Bush’s videos went viral on Twitter. Those videos were, respectively, scenes Bush and his parents recreated fromInto the Spider-Verse....

It will come at the surprise of absolutely no one, butSpider-Man: No Way Home- the long-awaited threequel inTom Holland’s MCU Spidey trilogy, featuring a returning ensemble of all-star baddies - is absolutely tearing it up overseas. While it’s yet to hit the domestic market, swinging into theaters tomorrow, it debuted in some markets as early as Wednesday, giving Sony a lot of reasons to be cheerful ahead of the holiday season....

Fans are clamoring for a trailer for the hotly anticipated upcomingSpider-Man: No Way Home, and while that still has yet to arrive, a set photo has been released that could tease some of the developments. Courtesy of Twitter user @3CFilm,the phototeases Spider-Man (Tom Holland) on the left waving to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) outside of what is likely the Sanctum Sanctorum. The photo also shows a truck in the background with the FEAST logo, a tease that has a lot more than initially meets the eye....

I’ve heard the argument that watching aGodzillamovie for the characters is like watching pornography for…well, the characters.Godzillaand its ilk are supposed to be destruction porn where kaiju punch each other, rassle, and anytime you focus on the human characters, you’re taking us away from the feature attraction. If you want to watch a movie about human characters dealing with human emotions, there are no shortage of those, but let us have our monsters beating the living daylights out of each other and crushing buildings....

In tonight’s episode of The CW’sThe Flash, Barry Allen takes a back seat to the rest of the S.T.A.R. Labs team for the majority of the hour while he recovers from his disastrous outing against Zoom last week. That conflict left him with a broken back, the inability to walk, and a loss of his super-speed. The good news is that his rapid healing ability has fixed up his back just fine in less than a week; the bad news is that his confidence has taken a hit and has yet to bounce back....
