Once upon a time, the kids network was the one and only place to find sketch comedy and variety shows that were appropriate for families and children in the viewing audience. Speaking as one such kid who used to watchAll That, its Canadian import predecessorYou Can’t Do That on Television, and its slightly older and more musical sister seriesRoundhouse, these shows were an absolute blast to watch Saturday nights on the big orange couch....

Some years, making a Top 10 list is fairly easy. Other years—like 2016—it’s much harder. There were a lot of films I really enjoyed this year, but few that I trulyloved. For whatever reason, I found plenty of films enjoyable or thought provoking or emotional, but not very many thatreallyconnected as in years past. Not only was this the first time any non-English language film won Best Picture, it was also the first time any South Korean film was honored at the Oscars in any way. Call Me by Your Name, the heartbreakingly beautiful 2017 romantic coming-of-age tale starringTimothée ChalametandArmie Hammer, was adapted from the 2007 novel byAndré Aciman. Twelve years later, after the film had permeated through the cultural consciousness, Aciman released the sequel to his original work, calledFind Me.
