Nemesisarrives to Disney+ as part of the streaming platform’s efforts to include up to 60 international original productions by 2024. Other international library titles Disney has targeted stem from countries such as the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany, and more.

TheNemesisseries follows Public Prosecutor Sylvia van Maele on her mission to find out who unexpectedly murdered a key witness in her place of residence. As she investigates further, she finds herself teamed up with a group of rogue detectives as they work together in order to catch up with and capture a ring of international criminals who, so far, have evaded the law’s reach. Hopefully, by taking the situation into her own hands and approaching it in an unorthodox manner, Sylvia van Maele will find justice and unravel the mysteries behind the crime along the way in this thrilling new crime series.

The story’s original writer, de Waal, is renowned for his fascinating stories. The author has written many scripts for screen and film and has received several nominations and awards for his work. In 2000, he won the prestigious Netherland’s Golden Calf Award for his screenplay for the filmLeak.
