Production onLandmanSeason 2 is firing on all cylinders, andTaylor Sheridan’s hit 2024 series has found even more streaming success at a shocking time.Landmanhas snuck back into the Paramount+ top 10almost five months removed from the Season 1 finale,sitting at #10 at the time of writing. This is likely a result of the wave of Season 2 news that Sheridan, starBilly Bob Thornton, and others have been dropping about the series as it prepares to return to Paramount+ later this year.Landmanwas recently unseated on streaming charts byMobLand, theGuy Ritchie-directed crime series starringTom HardyandPierce Brosnan, which is still sitting comfortably at #8 at the time of writing.MobLandis just narrowly ahead ofBlue Bloods, which has returned to the top 10 as fans’ excitement forBoston Blueboils over.
It’s safe to sayLandmanSeason 2 is going to look much differentthan the first season.Jon Hammfeatured in the recurring role of Monty Miller inLandmanSeason 1, but a bad ticker forced him to make a dramatic exit at the end of the season, leaving Tommy to take over his job. Monty’s wife (Demi Moore) will step into a larger role in Season 2, and Thornton has confirmed thatthe two will be working closer together in the new season. Also set to reprise their Season 1 roles asAli LarterandMichelle Randolphas Angela and Ainsley Norris, Tommy’s wife and daughter. Both cause Tommy more than his fair share of headaches, and that doesn’t seem poised to change in Season 2, which iscoming to Paramount+ in November.
What Is ‘Landman’s Rotten Tomatoes Score?
The first season ofLandmanearned a 78% score from critics onRotten Tomatoes, and the audience-driven Popcornmeter fell to 63%. These are respectable scores, ones which Season 2 will certainly look to build on. Although the audience score isn’t anything to look twice at, Sheridan’s large fan base, most of whom have been with him since the early days ofYellowstone, seemed to enjoy the show. It earnedrecord viewership for Paramount+as the biggest new series in the streamer’s history, and it also holds steady at an 8.2 rating from 57,000 people onIMDb.
