In advance of tonight’s Season 2 premiere ofThe Flash, The CW is dropping lots of promotional material, including a new poster, behind-the-scenes video and trailer for the highly-anticipated return of the hit superhero series. Series starsGrant Gustin,Danielle Panabaker,Jessie L. Martin,Carlos Valdes,Candice Patton,Tom Cavanagh, andJohn Wesley Shippare all back for more metahuman mayhem in Season 2.
First, feast your eyes on this sweet new poster, which features Barry in one of his many excellent running poses, as well as nods to the villainous duo Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), and Barry’s Earth-2 counterpart, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears).
Next up we’ve got a behind-the-scenes video in which Executive Producer Gabrielle Stanton breaks down the set up for the beginning of Season 2, which picks up months after the singularity and finds the Team Flash in a very different place.
Finally, for those of you who like to go in completely clear of spoilers, there’s a fun, short teaser trailer for the premiere episode with some behind-the-scenes tomfoolery from the cast.
Here’s the official synopsis for theFlashSeason 2 premiere episode, “The Man Who Saved Central City”.
“Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco helps Joe with his Meta Task Force.”
