For fans of the Fox’sX-Menfranchise, the announcement of returning cast members forAvengers: Doomsdaywas a treat. Before the Avengers existed and the MCU was a thing, theX-Menfranchise did it all, from introducing the mutants to showing different versions of them to cleaning up the timeline with time travel. Fans have been through it all, but the charm of the original cast needs to be acknowledged on the big screen before we enter a new era of mutants inMarvel’s shared universe. One name among them isKelsey Grammer, who already made a cameo inThe Marvelsthat left fans pleasantly surprised and very excited.
Given the creative overhaul at the studio and the subpar performance of the movie, fans were worried whetherThe Marvels’post-credit scene would pay off, but all doubts were put to rest whentheDoomsdaycast was announced. In a new interview onLiterally! with Rob Lowe, Grammer recounted his experience sharing, “I did a little scene … and then it showed. They put it in theaters,” he said about his cameo inThe Marvels. Adding, “And the response when they saw Beast was apparently pretty breathtaking, and that was my ticket.” He further elaborated on hisDoomsdaycasting revealing,

“They called me a while later and said, ‘We think we want to put you in another movie.’ So I’m really excited about it … I’ve had a preliminary introduction to the [Doomsday] idea. They are still very secretive about the script.”
