2025 is about to be an exhilarating year for fans of the popular streaming serviceBritBox, thanks to their upcoming programming, which features loads of thrilling productions, including this one-of-a-kind mystery series. As announced byBritBox,Ludwig,which premiered on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in September 2024, will land on the streamer on July 05, 2025, finally giving those who missed it the opportunity to watch the title character go from puzzle maker to investigator.

Not only didLudwigbecome a favorite of many soon after its debut, but it also had a record-breaking launch as the biggest scripted launch for the BBC since 2022 andearned the much-coveted 100% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critically acclaimed series stars British comedy legendDavid Mitchell(Peep Show) as John “Ludwig” Taylor and multi-BAFTA TV Award winnerAnna Maxwell Martin(Line of Duty) as Lucy Betts-Taylor, John’s sister-in-law and wife of his missing twin brother James.

Does ‘Ludwig’ Have A Second Season?

The first chapter ofLudwigconcluded at the end of October 2024, and around then, the BBC announced that Season 2 would be commissioned, with Mitchell and Martin set to return.
