After 11 years and two shows,Titus Welliverhas hung up the badge — for now. The third and final season ofBosch: Legacyhas officially brought the curtain down on one of television’s most consistently gripping crime sagas. But as Welliver revealed in a new interview with Moviefone, neither he nor the show’s legion of dedicated fans (including those in law enforcement) are ready to say goodbye just yet.
The actor admitted he was “deeply” saddened by the end, especially since everyone had beenactively planning for Season 4,but in a surprising and heartwarming moment, Welliver shared thatBoschhas become more than just a TV show to some — it’s becometheirshow.

“I love the people that I work with. I have formed a very close, deep bond with the character… I miss Harry. I really missed him. I had this one guy who was a New York cop say to me, ‘This is our show. We’ll let you know when we’re tired of watching it. So go back to these guys and tell them we’re not ready to go. We’ll let you know.' He wasn’t doing it with a smile. He was kind of emphatic in a way, which I was touched by.
‘Ballard’ Brings a “Very Well Realized” Dynamic for Harry Bosch
While theBoschuniverse continues with theupcoming spinoffBallard, starringMaggie Qas detective Renée Ballard, the final episode ofLegacydoesn’t wrap things up in a neat little bow for Harry, but it does quietly set upBallard, and while Welliver says there’s no traditional send-off, it introduces a “very well realized” dynamic between Bosch and the new lead detective.
“Maggie Q… fully embodies the character, and it was such a tremendous pleasure working with her,” Welliver said. “She’s very deeply funny, and very gracious and generous as an actor.”

He stopped short of confirming a return for Bosch in the new show — although we do know that he will be making at least a cameo appearance in the new series — but teased, “You never know… Hollywood is a strange and aerial place, right?”
