Watch the ‘The Dragon Prince’ Season 7 Trailer
The official trailer forThe Dragon Prince’s seventh season was released via the series’ YouTube channel on June 11, 2025.Picking up where last season left off, we see many of our lead characters, like Callum, Ezran, and Soren, arriving in the burning wreckage of Katolis following Sol Regem’s fiery assault. The boys have lost their home, but of greater concern is Aaravos’ return, who is hellbent on destroying all of Xadia.
We learn that Aaravos intends to bring about “eternal night,” which involves unleashing the spirits of the dead as the final steps of his master plan come to fruition. With Claudia by his side, she is also growing more powerful at using dark magic, which is corrupting her soul. Callum faces similar hardship if he attempts to use dark magic once more, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Both Claudia and Callum are prepared to do whatever it takes to win this coming battle, “however dangerous, however vile.”
Throughout the trailer, we also get glimpses ofmany other returning characterswho will be strong allies in the battle against Aaravos. These includeZym’s mother,Zubeia, Archdragon of the Sky, and Queen of the Dragons, who now appears to be fully healed after being infected by dark magic. Also, newlyweds Amaya and Janai, Queen of the Sunfire Elves, who are likely still processing their victory over Prince Karim’s attempted revolt.
The Future of ‘The Dragon Prince’
In July 2020, it was announced byThe Dragon Prince’s creators,Aaron EhaszandJustin Richmond, that Netflix had renewed the show for Seasons 4-7. Together, these four seasons would be dubbed “Mystery of Aaravos,” which deeply excited fans who were curious to learn all they could about the ancient Startouch Elf. With the show’s second saga fully mapped out, many assumed this meant that Season 7 would be the climatic final chapter ofThe Dragon Prince.
However, at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, it was revealed by the show’s co-creators that they’d been planninga potential third arc for the series, which would encompass Seasons 8-10. Netflix has not yet confirmed whetherThe Dragon Princewill definitively end with Season 7 or if the series will be renewed for three additional seasons. We hope this news quickly becomes public after Season 7 debuts later this month.
The Dragon PrinceSeason 7 Premieres on Netflix July 26, 2025.
